Tales from the writing center

The writing center was gloriously empty of clients most of today. Rion (that's Ryan) was manning the desk, busily filling out his Match.com profile, and we were talking about online dating. I mentioned the plethora of sorority girls on for a lark, and joked that I'd like to hit 'em (As if, in American society, they need help getting dates). Rion said, "No, you wouldn't." A moment passed. "Yeah you would."

We laughed, and another moment passed. "I don't even like Greek mythology," I said. A yawning chasm passed us by in the conversation, then we laughed again.

Also, my camera won't load pictures to my computer anymore. The computer knows the camera's there, but the scanner wizard doesn't come up in the auto-prompt, and when I do it manually it says the camera's busy, when it isn't. The few times I've gotten past that, it doesn't see anything on the camera anyway. Any ideas?

That is all.
